Celebrate Massachusetts Car-Free Week!


Thank you to everyone who participated in Massachusetts Car-Free Week 2013! With your support and dedication to green commuting we have reduced car trips by 35, 197 and saved $270, 334 dollars. View more of our results from our 2013 mode shift challenge!

2013 Car-Free Week Mode Shift

Massachusetts Car-Free Week 2013 also saw the introduction to our first ever video contest asked commuters to chronicle their green trips. In addition we also had five daily winners and two grand prize winners that were rewarded for recording their trips via NuRide.


Keep on Tracking Your Trips Through Nuride!

Car Free-Week is over but you can continue to track your trips all year through NuRide, the nation’s largest travel rewards and rideshare matching program for individuals who take green trips. Participants can track their green commutes can are eligible for a variety of rewards and discounts and it’s absolutely FREE!

What is Massachusetts Car-Free Week?


Massachusetts Car-Free Week is an extension of World Car-Free Day, an annual event which has quickly spread to over 1,000 cities in 40 countries around the globe. Endorsing the environmental, financial, community and health benefits of green sustainable travel options, Massachusetts Car-Free Week promotes transit, bicycling, walking, carpooling, vanpooling and teleworking as greener modes of transportation.

Track your trips using NuRide, the nation’s largest travel rewards and rideshare matching program for individuals who take green trips.
